Recipe from Samantha Crowe, Field Goods buyer and a millennial that cooks.
Frozen Summer Squash
Bragg (or soy sauce)
Defrost the Summer Squash and drain liquid. Sautee onions with butter until soft. Add the summer squash and Special Sauce* to the pan. Cook the heck out of them for about 15 minutes. You want them soft and a bit smooshy.
*Samantha’s Special Sauce
Mix together about 2 tsp of honey, 1 tsp of Bragg (you can use soy sauce instead but use less) and 1 tsp of olive oil. I change up the amount of the ingredients depending on if I am feeling salty or sweet…wink wink.
Bragg Liquid Aminos is an alternative to Soy and Tamari sauce. It tastes similar to soy sauce but much milder and much less salty (contains about 1/2 the sodium). You can purchase it a Field Goods.
