Our Story

Donna Williams founded Field Goods in 2011 after she completed an agriculture development consulting project to grow farming opportunities in Greene County, NY.

Field Goods was then born from the belief in the power of local food, community, sustainability, and small business.

What originally started out as two employees delivering farm fresh goods in an old station wagon, has grown into a team bringing farm fresh produce and locally made products to pick-up sites in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey. We now work with over 1,000 schools, businesses, libraries, and other community organizations to bring good food to more people.

We've built long lasting relationships with over 100 of the best farmers and artisans in our area.

They're people we’ve known personally for almost ten years, and we work with them each season to make it all happen.

Our farmers' insightful care and grow methods produce goods that have exceptional taste, freshness, and nutritional value.

We've also been working with over 200 locally sourced artisans and businesses to bring you an array of pantry staples, snacks, and more. Our goal has and always will be for you to be eating and feeling good all the time.

Our team is always here if you have any questions!

"Eating healthier, supporting local farmers and a woman owned business. Recommend everyone should try, if available to you. Love it."
Marta Mosher

Field Goods Values

We exist to add value, not garbage.

Helping Farmers

We would not exist without our farmers. They were the reason we got started, and are still a core part of what we do everyday. Learn more about our 100+ small farm partners, and the amazing work they're doing by visiting Our Farmers Page.

Local Support

From our local artisans and goods, to our beloved pick-up sites at libraries, schools, community programs, and more. We have and will always be focused on working locally. Learn more about our Food Donation Program, and how you can give fresh produce to others!

Field Goods delivers to pick-up sites so that more people can come together to receive good food in one place. We are able to slash food miles and to limit our use of packaging. Plus we reuse our iconic bags an average of 25 times before they hit retirement.

Workplace Opportunities

We've received grants from Greene County Economic Development, the New York State Capital Region Economic Development Council Competition, and the USDA for our work to support agriculture and create jobs in an economically disadvantaged area.

Your Wellness

Whether at your job, gym, library, or school, we are working hard to partner with workplaces and community locations to make it easier for people to access farm fresh goods and healthy snacks. Check out our weekly curated bags, grab-n-go fruit boxes, totally clean snack boxes, and much more.

Field Goods is in no way looking to be your dietician or nutritionist (though we do work with them). But we are here to share more information and conversations about how real food is grown, and how buying local is not only good for you, but also your community and our planet.
